Description They're probably breaking a ton of flight regulations. 8D

But. I needed to cheer myself up. Namely. I had a job lined up for next week, making a lot of money with a lot of benefits. Which I need to save up for school and for life in general a year and a half from now. However they called to say that while I'm still hired, training has been postponed indefinitely.

And not even McDicks will hire me.

Have another doodle from the sketchbook, drawn while on the bus. You know there's an issue if you can pretty much draw an MD-11 cockpit from memory.
kratos, if you crash again, causing me to re-write all my replies to notes, I will hurt you.

Ack! Didn't mean to leave you hanging like this.

I guess I'm just wondering why you'd rather commission me to color both of my fursonas for a tattoo instead of getting something more personal.

Not that I really object to the idea, I'm just curious if you really want to be permanently wearing two of my characters on your body.

well, if its really bothering you, about 6 months ago i was going out with this wonderful girl who was joining the coast guard to be a helicopter pilot, and about two months after we started going out, she invited me to come with here on one of her routine runs. then about a month ago she dumped me as a school dance... this picture just reminds me of the wonderful days i spent with her

Yeah, okay, I can understand that.

How complex do you want the coloring? Like, background, details, etc.

Cargo also doesn't complain or ask you to adjust the cabin temperature or anything like that. 8D

And no worries, I won't show anyone else your characters.

"However they called to say that while I'm still hired, training has been postponed indefinitely. "

What?

Cool drawing though, its a cute and fluffy and stuff. I really like the angle, and I'm thinking she's om her knees as to not bump her rump against the control panel? But then again, I haven't been in a cockpit of a plane that size since I was wee... maybe... six? So I have no idea how far a seat is/can go from the control panel [hell I dunno if that's even what you call it!]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GearOtter In reply to Capt-Topknot [2009-03-10 17:00:13 +0000 UTC]

Yeah... I don't know. Seems kinda dumb to say that someone is hired but they don't have a starting date and won't any time in the near future. ffff

And Dex is pretty much sitting in his lap while Lux has the seat pushed back and somewhat reclined[most seats in larger commercial planes can even be put into a full recline. xD But they're all adjustable].

And thanks!

Bah! The only thing they'd have to worry about is some FAA operative coming in or sommat. xD

But the likelyhood of that happening is pretty slim, mainly because they fly cargo. 8D

VoidRunners [2009-03-10 15:11:36 +0000 UTC]

Is that a winder for opening the window I see there?

That can't be a very safe idea.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

GearOtter In reply to VoidRunners [2009-03-10 17:10:08 +0000 UTC]

The window actually does pop and slide open for multiple purposes; as *Hrontore said, to stick your head out to see, and as an emergency cockpit exit if the main doors are blocked for any reason. I think the crank you're seeing is probably for the escape rope, though I'll have to double check.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VoidRunners In reply to GearOtter [2009-03-10 17:56:58 +0000 UTC]

Aww. See, a sensible explanation isn't any fun.

My mind was far happier when it was imagining the pilot winding down the window at 35,000ft to stick his head out, loll his tongue and bark into the wind.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Hrontore In reply to VoidRunners [2009-03-10 15:49:35 +0000 UTC]

Yes, airplanes have windows for the same reason cars do. You still need to be able to stick your head out sometimes to avoid the tricycle in the driveway.
