I recently finished the large stone sculpture "Fragment of a love letter"

The work is done in basalt lava.

Size is 250 cm high, 85-90 cm wide and up to 20 cm thick, around 650 kg heavy.

Plus a base of 250 kg weight, a steel turntable.

I started in July 2018 and finished erecting it in January 2019.

Here I would like to show the process of working the sculpture.

Finally the back side is supported by a heavy duty corten angle steel bar at the rim of the turntable.

Crane structure removed and now I am waiting for good sunlight to see the shadows and shapes of the relief.
