I always headcanoned Chryscord as being fakely oneside from Chrysalis as she only wants to brainwash Discy (like she did Shiny) and use him as a puppet to spread chaos over Equestria and feed off his uh... "love" for her. I feel that neither would see each other as equals and that both sides have plans for using the other.
