2023. I call it 'My Inner Selves'.

I figured that it was high time that I added another to the 'Max is Sleeping' series; as near as I'll ever get to a journal I suspect.

'Max is Sleeping' is a series of tiny canvas boards (this one is particularly small at 5cm x 5cm - The Sharpie is in the photo for scale), completed in a big hurry, while my dog (Max) is asleep.

For those unfamiliar with him, Max is an overgrown pup who demands undivided attention for most of the day, so when he sleeps is one of the best times to make a quick picture.

All the pictures in the series are done in around two hours start to finish, and are mostly abstract. Sometimes they are painted, sometimes collage, sometimes both.

This one is a fridge magnet, consisting mainly of a collage using paper offcuts and various other bits of scrap paper, augmented with Posca pens and a Sharpie.

The series will continue until Max no longer needs so much of my attention, or until I get bored – whichever comes first.
