I was in the mood to make tutorials I figured I'd throw this together since I was doing a quick test of the make shift stand for a hopefully big shoot I'm doing tomorrow. I can't take any credit for this idea, I came across mention of it ages ago but this is my first time actually using it. I wish I'd done it sooner because holy crap it really does help so I wanted to share.I'm going to put together more tips like this too, I think I'm going to talk about body language and posing in the next one so if there's anything in particular you'd like let me know ;3 I've had a few suggestions already though that I'm going to try to get too.

Why didn't I ever think of this? I guess I don't really have a problem with posing. I can usually get them to do what I want. But this will be helpful for the tricky poses like having one foot off the ground. Thanks.

for future "tips tutorials" like this one I'd like to see more images about the wire stand, because I see it standing in the ground but if I try to imagine a BJD standing agaist it it always fall because it seems the wire only can "poke" the doll a bit, I don't know if I'm expressing well >< I mean I really want to know more details about how you use it to don't fail miself

Just to try to explain a little better in the mean time though in the top picture it's behind London's front leg, her weight isn't entirely on it, it's mostly just there to balance her rather than support her so it's just poking between her legs under her skirt.

oooh now I think I understand it better, I thought her weight was on the wire
I really like the idea of putting it behind her clothes, that way it is even less visible and it makes a better support
