Description
Would i be normal if i asked for a beer over the bar, as opposed to a diet coke.Truth is i don't think i would be. But the thought and the question is always there.
I took this photo... just to clarify... yeah, I do question my decision every day.

yap, at first there's a huge hype about being edge... then you stick to it for a few years and notice that it also has its dark sides, like militant sxe or even hardliners... but it all comes down to being what you know you are and what's right for you. Been edge for 5 years now and I have thought about it, but it's still clear that this is who I am, many friends broke it, no problem at all, i'm not one of those losers.
Anyway I like the contrast concept and brightness. congrats.

Eh its not even the whole darkside to it. Its just the separation that sucks. Ive been edge my entire life, Its not even a part of who i am. Just simply something i do without thinking about it. But sometimes i just catch moments when part of me just wonders why i do it.

yep it goes through the mind sometimes... but then I wonder about the pros and cons and remember the damage drugs, alcohol, tobacco, etc does to entire families and then I know I'm still doing what who I am tells me to

see im not traditionally edge. I didint hear about being sxe untill long after i made the decision not to abuse substance. Now i just use it as a lable, but its neverbeen a lable that defines me personally. So because of this... and because i dont know many other people who do the same thing as me, i dont encounter the elitisim thing in the slightest. People are what they are.
Im never really feeling like changing my choices will make me any better as a person. I like what it is i have chosen to do for myself, it was after a conversation with someone over what was edge and who is and isnt edge that i had the thought of taking this pic as a way of putting the arguement to rest that this name is who i am... but it doesnt mean its everything. Like every decision i make i question it. Its almost like what brand of milk to buy. I know i always chose the cheapest (because im lame and broke) but it doesnt change the fact that i still consider buying the more expensive stuff just because it comes in prettier packaging.
if that makes any sence. Basically i guess its a case of me stating that im still normal... even if it feels not so normal to buy coke in a pub instead of alcohol. I wonder often what it would feel like to change my own habit. Even if i wouldnt actually do it because its not in my nature to do so.

Party Pies- Now party pies are small bite sizes pies USUALLY filled with some sort of 2nd rate beef or meat, whose pastry is usually some sort of puff pastry made from milk, eggs and animal fats (this may change depending on the brand and how people like to ake their pastry cause there are many differnt ways)
Go- is a game also known as Igo by the japanesse Weiqi by the chinesse, and Paduk or Gi by the Koreans.
The game consists of a 19 x 19 board and is played by the players taken alternating turns at placing black (being one player) and white (being the other player) stones ont he board. The point of Go is to capture try and make lines of stones and capture the largest territory on the board. the game ends when both players pass there turns showing that neither side can increase its territory or reduce its opponent's.
Go is seen as the ultimate game of strategy, arguably more challanging than chess, this is because of the sheer volume of choice a player is given and the differnt combinations and tatics used.

So as you can see that even though the game seem simple and is easy to learn, to master it is a tough battle.
My statement-
now Go could be played with "TYPICAL" party pies, one team could be sauce covered and the other team not sauce, or even tops on and tops off. Captured pieces could be eaten by the other players and the winner could get all the pies on the table.... Now firstly doing this would cause the winner to turn into a crazy fat slob, because you need a hell of alot of party pies, second teh environmental impact of creating that much meat, fat and milk to create that many party pies for a Go tournament would make al gore cry like a baby. Also the amount of of food that would be consumed (also the horrible amount of food and water wasted to feed the animals that get slaughtered, because you dont get any where near the amount out as you put in) would make 3rd world countrys look at you with those sad starving puppy eyes. So in effect party pie Go would make a horrible social, economical and environmental choice and party pies should onl be consumed on a very small scale (perferably none, but you know im biast in my views, or atleast made differntly to my specifications) and Go should be played and enjoyed, but only using the appropraite stones.

This is a really nice piece. (I know they tell you not to use the word "nice" in primary school, but fuck that, I'm a rebel.) I love the composition, and I've probably told you before that I have a serious love for b&w photography.
I have to mention that I'm very interested in your subject matter. I mean, I'm definitely not straight edge. Very not. But I do dig it. I mean, I haven't had many sXe friends. I think I had one. I'm always interested in why people make this choice. Actually, I have to say, I'm interested in why I do what I do too. Anyway. I applaud anyone who makes a choice and sticks to it. Having said that, I respect anyone who knows when things aren't right for them and walk away too. So *shrug* I guess what I'm saying is... You rock.

Any way, yeah i never have honestly met that many edge kids either. Most of my freinds are just the same as you. Either way... it doesnt make me judge them diferent as a person. I think just like you said... it more interests me as to why they made that choice.
Me personally without going into the great in depth bullshit of it all, i made the choice not to... so i didnt have to make the choice to do. If that makes any sence at all. I grew up in a fairly crazy town and just saw far too much of the shit side to it. but then on the other hand... I have seen the shit side to both sides and im still trying to work out whats worse. Either way... i know that for the time being im staying the same as i have for the past 21 years... just because even if i question the decision i have made, it still feels right for me... even if its not excactly what fits for anyone else.
