Description Hakutaku is a Chinese sacred beast.

When great King succeeded to the throne, Hakutaku turns up.

The picture which I drew Hakutaku on is a talisman against evil in Japan.

I might be thinking of a different creature, but in Chinese I think it's called a Qilin (I pronounce it 'kay-lun'). They can look more like lions with dragon heads; the ones with hooves (like this one) are often referred to as the 'Chinese unicorn'. They're very cool, I have a couple of statues of them on my desk and shelves, I use them as paper weights and bookends, I've even named them all. They take good care of my stuff

Awesome rendition - I love it! His expression makes him look as though he might be friendly

The Qilin resembles Hakutaku.
When great King succeeded to the throne, both appear.

Probably the Chinese seems to call it BaiZe.

Ah yeah you're right, I was thinking of this instead: [link]

They look similar, though
I'd never heard of a BaiZe, I've learned something new
