Description Chapter 2

Agito woke up just before nightfall. He looked at the other side of the ravine, and only saw the burned trees, and a small flame. It flickered as if it were remembering when it was big and strong, and then reminding itself that it is small and weak. Agito sighed sadly and remembered the burn. "Every choice we make...denies thousands of other possibilities..." He mumbled to the small flame, right before it went out.

Agito poured a bit of cold water over the burn, then wrapped it in a peice of bandange. He slowly got up, wincing a bit. He got a carving knife out, and got a bit of wood from the tree he had leaned on. He quickly carved it into a smooth walking stick, then put the knife into his bag. He shifted his weight onto the walking sick, and it stayed steady.

Agito limped into the forest at a steady pace, wincing every once in a while, along with coughing. Soon the smoke cleared, and the full moon spread light onto the vast forest floor. Agito's black hair blended in with the almost pitch black forest, giving him one advantage. Eventually Agito stopped at a pretty big tree, and climbed up it, good for the night.

For a while, Agito layed there, staring at the stars through the leaves. Agito thought for a second. "Maybe.." He stopped himself for a second, but then continued, "Maybe the legend isn't truth..Maybe there is no hero..maybe..maybe all is really lost.." He looked down, hearing something in his mind. "It is true." Was all it said. "Huh?" He wondered, then shook his head, "I must be hearing things." "You are not. There is a hero, and since there is, all is not lost." It said "You aren't going to not belive the gods, are you?"

Agito took a long time to think about it, but didn't say anything more. He hung his bag on a thick branch, and his Bow and quiver full of arrows on another branch. Using a old towel as a pillow, and a raggy quilt as a blanket, he drifted into sleep.
