Um~ kind of an old piece but people who've seen the original seemed to like it, especially my mum for some strange reason >__>;;Doodled on a scrap of paper when I was feeling fed up with life at work
I decided I would actually use traditional media to finish it off *gasphorror*
Better than letting those pens gather dust in a corner, besides I think I've started to dig a hole in my tablet from overuse XD;;

I love the details on the wings and how the feathers seem to...float? The pastel colors (and purdy purdy opalish wings) help the sadness show through, or is that boredom??
I also like the ashes falling from the cigar,little detail adds a lot.
But I can't figure out what those things on the top of the picture are...sorry?

Very natural portrayal of, not — to me — an angel, but simply a winged human who's had a truly rotten day, and is waiting for his (?) feathers to grow back. The emotion is evident in a look of resignation, the partial face, the angle of the cig, the drooping wings and feathers.
I look with special interest for such well-turned depictions of realistic winged folk who don't have to partake of the supernatural. I have two guided tours of such works at Elfwood. (Links on my page .)

When I saw the title of this piece, I was stunned. The title is very similar to one of my stories I'm working on. ^_^ One of my characters almost looks like the one in your image. Weird how the word can seem so small.
