When I saw [link] I couldn't help but want to colour it in XD;;Yeah a long delayed collab with =Animixter , like by a year now I think >>;;
Probably one of the quickest CGs I've ever done *less than 5hrs....which is quick for me XP;;* but still quite happy with the way it turned out :3

Hey, it doesn't take me less long to do a CG of this quality. It would probably take me even longer than this...
I think you did a good job even though the colouring seems to be a bit one-dimensional at some points. I like it that you changed Sora's look on his face to a more sad/angsty one in your picture though (as opposed to the sketch). There is so much more emotion in there. One really does think that the breaking of the chain is actually a symbol for something horrible that is happening to him. In the sketch he just seems to look at the chain with a reluctant interest. There is no emotional connection with the inanimate at all, not that much background.
So yes, I like it that you picture is telling the audience something. And that's why I think it's a good piece of work. Even though it's just mainstream fan art.

I really like the expression on his face.. so sad and dreamy at the same time. I noticed it's not exactly accurate according to the sketch (like his jaw is slimmer and his eyes are sadder), but I love how this final piece has turned out

It varies, a normal CG is usually 8-10hrs from start to finish, usually spread over a week or so. Athough I have spent 30hrs+ on some of my stuff >>;;
