Description Guess what I decided to do for my 53rd deviation
No but seriously this took forever I don't know why my dumb brain wanted to do the entire friccin cast from the game. Tagging this is going to be a pain.

All Characters Used belong to Danganronpa, Spike Chunsoft

Hello, how are you? I'm from ProjectComment Β

So many characters in this image! it must have cost a lot of time and effort to made it!

The best thing is that spark and originality of each character that differentiates it from the rest. I think that facial expressions are generally very good and convey diverse ideas or emotions.

Where perhaps it could be improved is in the composition. As it is now it seems a bit chaotic. There are too many elements that attract the viewer's attention and this can cause confusion. I understand that by putting so many characters your intention is that each one captures a little attention and nothing is forgotten. It's complicated to balance one thing with the other...

I noticed also that the inclination of the characters falls forward, especially in those who are in the center area on the purple floor. The bears on the sides have varied inclinations. It's not a serious mistake but it gives the feeling that they are going to fall to the ground at any time. I think you want to make them like walking fast, but maybe too much!

Another important aspect is the integration of the characters on the background. There are no casted shadows thrown on the ground so it is as if everyone were floating, totally detached from the background.

I would also like to talk about color, there is an almost infinite variety of colors and it is not clear where they are. I would have added a filter or mask to touch up the general temperature of the image, taking it all to warmer or colder tones, depending on what you want to transmit.

Finally, the stage does not have much detail and that doesn't help to know the environment where the scene is. I deduce that I have to know the videogame story to better understand the drawing. But a little help for those who don't know it would be appreciated

Where I do see that you have added many details is in the clothes, it looks great and very organic! ^o^

Good luck and keep going! Β

Hello, from here!

First of all, I would like to applaud your effort of drawing so many characters. It really shows how much patience you have when doing art which is quite admirable! You did not just draw them in a single pose and u even shaded them! Great work there.

Nice work on their poses. You made them look alive and not stiff. I can see their line of motion quite easily and the direction of where all of the characters are going. They are also very expressive and from the way you showed their facial expression shows me what kind of personality and character they have. Great job on doing that! I guess you must have really loved the game to know the characters very well and express them like this XD

Well now let's get to the things you can improve on.

Firstly, their anatomy and proportions. I know you are trying to draw anime style but I can't just help but notice how the proportions looks off to some of the characters. They have thin and short arms and sometimes their legs are too short. I recommend using a reference next time you draw something this big and take it slow XD. For reference, I recommend this image since you are doing anime:i.pinimg.com/originals/ea/9e/7… . Now for the anatomy, it will naturally come after you get your proportions right. I like that you added a collar bone to one of your character so I guess you did try to do a right anatomy.

Second and lastly, perspective. I suggest looking up tutorials on perspective. I couldn't really tell the vanishing point from this piece and some characters look off because of the weird perspective.

With the nitpick over, I would say you did a good job overall. It was difficult to make a lot of characters so making mistakes is fine. I would suggest you try take a longer time if you embark on a project like this.

Thank you, and yeah, anatomy and perspective are definitely things I need to work on. I'll check out your link, and thanks again
