Day 8: Girls love
My friend made a contest about her characters not long ago, and eventhough I wasn't able to participate on time, I DID wanted to make something for her, becaue she deserves all the love in the world!!! ♥

So I drew her Princess Anastasia Kendall aka Anyah (the purple-gold mermaid) and her girlfriend, my OC Sheela (the pink mermaid)! ♥
Reasons behind today’s pic? SO MANY...
As I said before, I wanted to draw a gift for BluebirdsandCanaries , because she keeps drawing and drawing stuff for me and I'm SO GRATEFUL TwT
Mermaids are traditionally female so, why not some lesbian love? ♥
I wanted to draw some character in a mermay AU and it's been A LONG TIME since I drew Sheela! Also I thought she'd look really cute as a mermaid.
I wanted to practice interactions between two (or more) characters, and practice mermaid poses as well!
I was willing to try this thing of taking a photo and coloring over it for the longest time!
BECAUSE I CAN.
Ok so the original idea was that Anyah was the actual mermaid who fell in love with human girl Sheela! and then I thought (and LeesiGalaxy also seemed to agree with me) that there could be a twist there, because why has to be the mermaid the one who turns into a human? why can't be the other way around? ♥
So here they are, the couple of mermaids in love at the end of their tale, living happily ever after!

Also I think Anyah's mermaid tail is the most beautiful I've ever made. I wasn't sure if I should draw her purple because she's a Kendall, or golden because she's a ray of sunshine, so...
why not both?
