its a canon 550D and i usually use a sigma 105mm macro lens, they are expensive but well worth it! thanks glad you like my pics x

i know what you mean, i do struggle with light. i thought about getting a ring flash, what do you think?

I would add I am a bit of sharpness with Photoshop and & dont use flash.
I' dont like use flash ( maybe i can use fill flash ). Flash light's killed picture detail.
i wonder, what is your camera and lens ?

I thing you are using canon, 105mm sigma macro... am i missed ?

your right exactly!, i don't use flash at all but have read that ring flashes don't do that to photos, however i take most of my photos at night (full time job!) so have tried different lights and things. i sometimes use photoshop but find it a bit frustrating to be honest xxx
