Hey you. Yeah, you. I have a special reminder to give you:You feel like crap right now and I know it’s cliché but—
It gets better.
And when the world says “Give up,”
Hope whispers, “Try it one more time.”
I know, I hear that cynical laugh
and snide comment about being a Hallmark-wannabe. But I really mean it.
Keep that hope—don’t give up.
Stay focused.
Don’t lose sight of those rosy-colored dreams.
You’re strong, stay strong.
And don’t let your happiness depend on something you may lose.
Love yourself. Love being you every minute.
Everyone you idolize wakes up scared to be themselves, sometimes.
They’re just as much human as you are.
Don’t put them on high pillars by cutting down yours.
You may not believe this, and that’s okay. Just know it:
You are worth fighting for.
You ignored the hateful comments other make,
So, please, ignore the ones you make for yourself.
It’s hard. I’m not denying or belittling how you feel right now.
But despite all odds—
You can do this.

yesterday, someone put messages on random lockers at my school (we are one of the few schools left
in california to still have lockers) and they weren't mean. weren't rude. they were really nice-- "laugh
more. it's a beautiful sound", "be yourself", "i love your hair today!", ekc. it was numerous different
people (b/c the handwritings), and i haven't figured out who did it (not that i want to), and they were
genuine, simple, and kind. also, your piece of art is the sort of thing that reminds you that there is,
indeed, good things and good people and maybe, just maybe, a good future.
