Description And here's Set 2, gender-bendered. Including Wily.

Now seems as good a time as ever to list my MM gender-bendering pet peeves:

1.) Making the less humanoid RMs humanoid. Something about the original design gets lost when you make them a generic moeblob.

2.) Making them "cute" and less "threatening". DX

3.) Making the doctors thirty years younger. Apparently, old men and fine, but old women? OHNOES!

4.) Giant tits/asses for no reason.

5.) Doing it just to have them brutally raped. (I'm thinking of a specific webcomic, but I'm sure doujinshi artists do it all the time)

I think the GS RMs should have different names from the originals.

Metal Man -> Saw Woman
Wood Man -> Tree Woman
Flash Man -> Stopper Woman
Bubble Man -> Bubble Woman
Air Man -> Thermo Woman
Crash Man -> Blast Woman
Quick Man -> Boomer(ang) Woman
Heat Man -> Flare Woman

For Pet Peeve No.2, well... one could question IceMan or PlantMan.

They're not exactly "non-threatening", though.

And Female!Wily still has that Dr. Wily look, even if she doesn't have the mustache. Is her first name "Alberta" or something?

But these turned out awesome. ^^

Probably.

QuickWoman = Blue? AWESOME!

Chick Wily has to make up for having no mustache by having ratty hair. Coolness.

Horray for Gender-Bending. Awesome work as usual General. Can't wait to see the rest of the Robot Masters.

Hey,after you're done gender-bending all of the Original series characters,maybe you can do the same to the X series characters. Including the Mavericks.

I dunno; the Mavericks are pretty gender-neutral.

Leave it to a woman to pull off the gender-bending pretty well. Nice work!

No probs.

I'm a tiny bit surprised your version of Needle Woman didn't draw any influence from the Mechs' Needle Gal, though, heheh~

I thought of Needlegal after Needlewoman was already inked. :/

While I agree with most of your reason's there's a flaw with your first.
The main reason they have to be turned at least somewhat humanoid is to differentiate the fact that they're female in such a case.
Take your Metal and Flash for example while remaining true to their original they still have the figure to pass off as a gender swap while Air on the other hand...Well aside from the 'eye lashes' it's really just a recolor. Just doing that kinda defeats the purpose of gender swapping them in that case.

True; unfortunately, humanizing them almost inevitably leads to problem 2, which is why it bothers me so much.

I did change Airman's shoulders (they're Ariga's), but honestly, there wasn't much else I felt I could do; it's a fairly gender-neutral design anyway.
