Description
The "Final Soviet Solution" was a genocidal campaign against Americans during the fall of the American Empire and the Commonwealth. The Russians had built nukes to exterminate America's major cities and then invaded and torn down the capital of Washington DC with a huge Soviet Army. The Sino-Japanese Empire supported this as well, due to the Atomic bombings within their homeland, Japan, during WW II. By the time the Post Apocalyptic Era began, Russia argued with Japan of their New World Order to either be Communist or Imperialist. they would take over the american government and help wipe out the American culture and replace it with russian culture. However, America fell into anarchy and the communists were killed by American anarchists, causing the fall of American civilization and thus divided the american empire into primitive tribes.

Communism and Russian culture are not the same. America in that situation could be it's own communist contry, not the part of Soviet Union. Like East Germany. There was it's own version of communism.

But still, how can the soviets determine who is exactly "American" if the USA is such a racially diverse place?

they can tell if they speak in a southern accent or a yankee accent. Either way, they would ask the person if he or she is from america and if the person said yes or said no in english, they think that that person is an american.

Interesting concept...
Though, I always pictured such a scenario to be a bit different... a resurgence of the Soviet Empire due to economic recession, rampant poverty, and increased criminal activity, causing the people ti rise up to secure the ways of the past, and the Communist regime, believing the past to have been better somehow (much how Americans have a romanticized view of the Eisenhower years)
This gets followed by a mismanagement of resources, causing a complete crop failure, and the American farm lands refusing to help, because of a new "Cold War" brewing...
The first strike is tactical nuclear weapons launched by the new Soviet Empire, targeting the US NORAD, and defense systems, preventing a retaliation (nukes smuggled in, and maybe even our own nukes used against us, using a form of cyber terrorism)
Troops would then follow, being dropped from commercial airlines that were already en route before the tactical launch, as well as troops swarming up from the southern Borders of the US, dividing the US at the Rockies, using the terrain as a block from any possible reinforcements from whatever is left of the US government, now thrown into complete chaos by the surprise attack against the home land.
The ultimate effort would be to secure the farm belt of California, as a means of producing a new food supply...
Meanwhile, the Alaskan front would take a beating, as wave, upon wave of armored columns swarm over the winter time frozen Bering Sea from two directions... both the Straits, as well as the Bering Sea itself from both a North, and West direction, converging in a means to open a supply line for the transport of food and goods from the farm belt, as well as securing the Alaskan oil fields... the attack would be a surprise attack, just before the first attack, knocking out communications from the Military bases in Alaska, by manufacturing an accident with the communication satellites (during that time of year, ground communication is spotty at best, and that would have been destroyed at the get go) either taking over US installations when possible, or destroying them out right.
On the California front, the Soviets would subdue the population through both intimidation, re-education, as well as political subversion... the majority of the population would be unarmed, and unready, or unwilling to fight (more and more people in California are getting rid of their firearms as gun laws get tougher and tougher, and more and more Americans are willing to roll over than fight for their own freedoms, whenever a choice is given... and the Soviets would offer the possibility in the minds of the people that maybe they are no worse than what was before)
The Soviets would also be able to benefit from the government security systems already in place during this take over (the traffic cams, the infrastructure already set in place by the US's own Patriot Act, and of course with the control of all media outlets within the states effected)
Once firmly entrenched (looking at a two week deadline for entrenchment) the US government, or what's left of it, should it be able to get back on it's feet after the loss of DC, NORAD, and the tactical bombing of the military bases by an offshore Typhoon Class sub in San Diego, would be forced to either fight a costly ground war on home soil, barricaded by the natural geography of the American Rockies, or, they would be forced to launch a bombing campaign against they own US cities.. either tactic would become very unpopular with the citizenry within those war zones, as civilian casualties would surly mount... but that would be a big part of the Soviet tactic... to let the US military make the strikes that would damage the cities, while the Soviets put on a show of protection towards their conquered prize...
Following the teachings of Sun Tzu, and the Art of War (which used to be required reading for Soviet officers... I don't see why it wouldn't be still) the Red Army, as well as the Spetznaz troops would do all they could to win over the hearts of the people, while at the same time, utilize whatever resources are already available for their offensive disguised as a defense within the occupied areas that are already under their control...
But.. that's just off the top of my head... not that I've really put much thought into it or anything...
Interesting to see how it would go by a force that DID put a lot of thought into it.
But remember... hunger will inspire more wars than religion, or profit ever could...
