Description Here is a map of the Greater Egyptian Empire that has resulted from the alternate timeline, starting with Nectanebo II's alternate victory against the Persian invaders. This gave Egypt a chance to regain its eastern territories, starting with Israel. By 200 BC, the empire had conquered all of Nubia under their reign and then marched into Arabia in a need a trade with China and India. By 40 BC, Cleopatra declared the conquest of Greece and Sicily, expanding Egypt's new dominion into Europe. While at the same time, Much of their eastern claims were regained from the Persians and Greeks. Two years late, Cleopatra marries Mark Antony in a promise for peace between Rome and Egypt. This results into Egypt's golden age, along with is campaign against the African tribes surrounding modern-day Lake Victoria. Soon, the empire becomes technologically advanced, defending their borders against their primitive rivals. This results into the ten thousand year reign of the Pharaohs and their almost-futuristic empire.

I was also going to ask how there is still a Cleopatra in a world where Nectanebo defeated the Persians, which would seem to preclude the advent of Alexander and the Ptolemies.

Interesting idea, but I see some flaws. If Nectanebo never got conquered by the Persians, why is there a Cleopatra? Also, only fending off the Persians doesn't mean that Egypt would suddenly have been in a position to form an empire after centuries of decline.

i believe that alternate history hold many possibilities, including those that are yet unknown to us.

Of course alternate history has infinite possibilities, but in my opinion whatever you think up has to sound at least a little plausible. That is one of the many reasons I seldomly submit stuff to dA. I'm not saying your work is bad, after all it is an interesting idea. I just wanted to point out that I would have made a more detailed description.

Egypt's primitive rivals on the rest of the continent would keep on fighting since Africa has a surplus of resources.

I think the Egyptian empire alternate history looks awesome and I cannot wait to have the game called Rome Total War II.

Does make you wonder how far South the Egyptians could have gone if the Persians didn't conquer them.
