Well Der Krieg is probably the most epic and the best representation of trench warfare. But it's a bit too dark and you can't see the enemy. This one is the best because of the large amount of detail, good use of perspective, good representation of the enemy and it has a Char B1 in it

yeah look up georges scotts, "l'effect d'un obus" that shows a shell going off in a group of soldiers, that really helped with this

yeah its hard to focus on it, there are lots of sub scenes, im really glad you like it because these are some of the hardest but most rewarding things to draw
