mk, time to critique. take note that my critiques are meant to be objective and by no means offensive. alright? lets roll
for starters, the character design and coloring is overall good. the expression looks alert and on guard, and it's fitting for the character. the posing is a bit flat and stereotypical, but it works.
the hair could use a lot more highlighting, as it seems a bit flat. same can be said about the clothing shades, it's too plain. I noticed shines on the armor section, and that's good.
it's not your character, so I won't critique anything about the fashion design and such. the bg effect with her head and those glimmers sadly come off as no more than filler for the bg, and they don't help to convey or fuel any theme in the piece. their pink hue is both uncomplimenting of the character and is a bad stand out. I also found it weird how you did the cut off of the heads like that in the bg, with the right eye's head side on the left of the character and vice versa.

so, to sum up, you've got a good grasp of the digital arting, just keep add more flair to your pieces to make more impact. experiment with composition, bg scenery, contrasts in shading, perspective, pose, and the like. good work.
