i have to say i both like and hate the detail in this shot - the detail IS amazing and beautiful, but it also makes it feel alittle cluttered and claustrophobic; possibly the inclusion of a little more sky would have evened it out?

but... but how? please post a process on this one please! i'm dying to know how it got to this directly from a photo... unless you really tweaked it in PS and then its a manipulation, not straight up photography.

High Dynamic Range (if I remember right). A merge of photos of the same motive but with different exposures. You'll need a tripod to get the photos exactly the same. The outcome is a special, or even unnatural, exposure.
