Description
The Freshwater Crocodile lives in tropical rivers and billabongs of northern Australia, where it hunts for fish, prawns and other small animals. It is a very shy animal and usually avoids humans, preferring to slip quietly away whenever people come near. The Freshwater Crocodile can often be seen from a boat at night, when its eyes shine red or orange in the light of a torch. Grows to 2-3 metres.
