Description Another sketch that needed to see the light of day. The sketch itself was something I worked on on a flight to stay entertained. I had a real nice conversation with a business man from Korea because of it; he kept looking over my shoulder and started asking questions. It was alot of fun lol!!

I thought this would be easier to accomplish because of what I needed; ink, water and paper. I've done ink wash before, this should be no problem. I should know better by now...lol!

The biggest hurdle was layering. I don't get another chance to fix something in ink if it's too dark so I was just doing dozens of super thin layers all over her to make sure everything looked okay. Then I had to wait for it to dry. I hate waiting for things to dry. Especially if I have nothing else to work on in the meantime. I keep touching it to see if it's dry enough to go back into, smear something, rework it, wait and most likely smear something again LOL.
I think the only thing I'm wondering about with this is if I should've used some other color to get more depth in those shadows. I can always do a wash digitally (alot of people suggested that actually!) or if I should just leave it as is. I may throw it on PS and tinker with it in the future. For now, here it is in it's inky glory lol!

Love love love love this!  All those thin washes really worked for you here.  This could be cool with a pop of color, but I still like it as-is.  It feels like magic seeping through a gray, cloudy day.
