Genkkis is the man! In the mean time, can you give us a sketch on the logo of Manpower Inc and Mesan Alignment? Furthermore, if possible, I wonder how the flag of good old SLN will be like?

Hello

well, I'm sorry, I don't have any sketch about the logo of Manpower and these flags at present. for Manpower, I only played with DNA in my illustration. Maybe in the future...
I don't remember if there are descriptions about these flags and logos. Do you know if Mr Weber described them ?

Is it just me or does Albrecht Deitweiler (asuming thats the one behind/above Anisimovna) look a lot like Robert Knepper, if so that would be a pretty good choice for the role should a film come around.

Anisimovna was described in the books as a "man-eating blonde", and I think Genkkis nailed the look perfectly.

That isn't Honor Harrington. It's one of the Mesans.

Ah no, she has golden hair and gray eyes. Honestly i don't remember if she has long or short hair... When i worked on this illustration, a long hair seemed to be cool (for me). I guess that she can change sometimes

Thank you. For me it is the best congratulation May be one day... I have to admit that i've never seen the covers from your country. I'm going to search for them. I like to see the other versions of the HH covers.

Have a good week-end

You. Are. Amazing.X1000
You have no idea how much I love this.
I love your covers more than the boring, dull, somewhat unimaginative covers us people in the USA have to deal with.
Okay! Time for the questions so I can waste your precious time!(haven't read the book in a while so..)
Who are the two people in front of the planet?
Am I right in assuming that the planet is Manticore?
I'm also taking a wild guess that the evil looking dudes below the DNA are Manpower.
*bows down to the awesomeness of Genkkis*
I am seriously thinking about somehow buying these books in French just for the covers, wouldn't read them, just admire them.

Really.Thank.You.Again

I'm really happy that you enjoy my work so much. Usually i say to people who put my covers in their favourites "i'll do my best to make you love the next one"
I'm happy because, at least, i managed to do it for you (i don't know if i'm clear)

To answer to your questions :
I thougt that it was time to show people of Manpower. They are in many stories but i don't know any cover with them...
So i decided to draw them because they are very important.

On the first book :
Front cover(on the right) : Michelle Henke
Back cover (center): Bardasano (responsible of the special operations for manpower)

On the second book
front cover :
Albrecht Deiweiller and Aldona Anisimovna. The planet is "neo toscan".
With the DNA it's Albrecht Deitweiller and his sons.

*Please stand up, you'll make me blush it's just an illustration*
If you really want to buy these books, you can find them with online canadian bookstores(Quebec). I guess that the delivery would be cheaper.

Have a nice day (again )

At last, i found it. I remembered an online bookstore where you can find or order theses books Renaud-bray.com: [link]

It's cool because the website is both in french and in english.

Just write honor harrington in the search field and you'll find them. The french publisher is "l'atalante"

Have a nice week-end

Poor Hephaestus, Vulcan and Weyland. I know that's in Mission of Honor, but that's what I think of when I see that blast in orbit.

The Grayson industrial machine is needed once more.

Grayson got hit too, remember? The Blackbird Shipyard is gone, along with High Admiral Matthews.

Saphroneth In reply to hmsnike [2012-01-05 21:15:59 +0000 UTC]

Well, yeah, but on the whole they're a lot more dispersed. Hephaestus, Vulcan and Weyland were THE sites for shipbuilding in the entire Manticoran Empire. The Blackbird yard, while important, wasn't the whole story for Grayson.

Very very nice. (Applies to this and your other covers) A lot better than most of the Baen-Covers.

One little nitpick though: I think it was mentioned somewhere that ties were more or less outdated in the Honorverse except for places like Grayson.

But fantastic work neverthless.

Hello,

first, thank you for your congratulations.
That goes up to me in the heart

I hope that you'll like the next in few months.

About the ties, i have to confess something.
I take sometimes few liberties with the details of the stories. It's a little risky because some people can dislike it.
The spaceships, the ties... When i think that the final result can be cool.
Well, i stop now or i'll speak during an hour about my work

Thank you again

Valkyrja-Skuld [2010-11-27 11:11:33 +0000 UTC]

Je peux me tromper mais ce serait les representants de la Mesa Manpower Corporation, ourdissant leurs petites saloperies dans l'ombre, que ca ne m'etonnerait pas.

Genkkis In reply to Valkyrja-Skuld [2010-11-27 11:26:42 +0000 UTC]
