What I mean to say is, by this picture it looks as if you draw a mecha's parts (seperate legs, arms, torso), then put them together instead of drawing it all at once. That way, something like switching out the arms on a design is easier than drawing the entire machine over again.

Huh. Well if this is a query about how you draw, well... how do you draw? Pen and then scan or all in photoshop?
Seeing as I can't acheive lines like this on my own...

this one is made with a pencil and scanned. I prefer a pencil for more detailed work like these.
otherwise I draw directly in photshop with my digital tablet.

It seems you draw your mecha part by part. Do you assemble them after they are done, or is this sketch just for show?

For some reason, I don't think this image is as balanced composition wise as your other images.

could be cause it’s missing some parts?
actually I’m very unhappy with the look of the upper body bit. I think I’ll have to redraw it.

Nice job. Legs are sweet. Did you borrow parts off your other mech?

actually I drew these parts for the legs fist.
they are supposed to share some parts as they are built by the same manufacturer.
