Eddie heard Brenda's voice grow louder and louder. He opened his eyes, and saw a concerned look on her face. He asked her what had happened, and she told him that as soon as she mentioned that she was pregnant, he passed out.

Eddie sat up, and knowing that he looked weak in front of his wife, apologized profusely, trying to use the excuse that he had a long day at work with very little to eat.

But he could tell by her reaction that she wasn't buying it. So Eddie gently took Brenda's hand and started rubbing it tenderly, as he knew that always calmed her nerves. He stood up and held her hand as they made it to the bedroom.
