Hi there guys! This is an image I did long time ago for Marvel: War of heroes. Red Skull is one of my favorite villians from Marvel and was a bit sad that he wasn´t present on Winter Soldier (maybe in another film in the future? I hope so). I have a great time painting this one

Very badass picture man. Also i hate fn Nazis but, Hydra i dont think it is much Nazi. Like in the comics and in the movie they were like special squad type that was doing only what they thought was important

Interesting story on why the Red Skull is 'Hydra' and not 'Nazi'. The makers of things like the animated The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes had to make a choice they could either-
1) Make the Red Skull a Nazi BUT the makers of the show could not put in 'realistic guns'.
2) Not make the Red Skull a Nazi and let the soldiers have their 'realistic guns'.
Don't standard/censorship laws make wonderful sense?

Red Skull could easily be a Nazi but *not* use the swastika. The swastika is almost universally reviled and (sometimes) outlawed in first-world countries. Nazis in Europe started using alternate runic symbols to represent their ideology some time ago; there are scores of ancient religious and/or runic symbols that are now illegal in Europe because some Nazis used them at some point over the last 50-60 years.
I mean, for all intents and purposes, Hydra's goals and ideology are generally similar to that of the NSDAP of World War 2-era Germany. (They even use a "Heil Hydra!" chant.) If a rose by any other name smells just as sweet, surely Nazis by any other name are just as evil.

The truth of the matter is the Red Skull isn't the 'big bad' he originally was-
It was Zemo or Srtucker(I don't remember which) that was at the base that had the plane the blew up and 'killed' Bucky and got Cap frozen.
Strucker was the original founder of Hydra.
Skull was Hitler's Number 1 Fan and didn't betray him like he did in the first Captain America movie(breaking Hydra away from the Nazis)
I'd say the reason why the Skull is considered the bigger bad guy than Zemo or Strucker is because of his face.

This is an amazing red skull. His outfit looks just awesome and I like the background detail and how his head nearly lines up with the Hydra symbol is cool too

Yep. He's one of the very few villains who are on par with Dr. Doom. I think Magneto killed him once. And he hated Red Skull so much that he killed him by beating the shit out of him. No electromagnetism involved.
