My entry for the Draw To Adopt contest at the group . Here is the babbu I want to get so bad :

The design and bag are so cute!!! I luv it! And it was so fun to draw!

Because I can't print refs out until September and I can't use the internet while I draw, I had to quickly scribble a reference while at the library and try to decipher it at home :,D

I made the character all traditionally (with a Papermate Flair pen and some colored pencils), then added a digital background. I spent I think 5-7 hours on this piece? How does that work??? I gave this drawing premium processing: planning it thoroughly beforehand, drawing it large so the scan comes out at better quality, spending extra time adding depth to the lineart, carefully adding red shading and bright yellow lighting to give it a desert tone, and finishing it up with a background O_O I hope the effort was worth it! I wanna do so much with this little one

So here's some info about her and what kind of personality I think she would have. I based some of it off of actual characteristics of leopard geckos. I put creativity in the description of my entry too! So please read it

Name: Reese (rhymes with grease) (like in Reese's Pieces, which when I was making her tail spots I couldn't help thinking of. Her coloration in general, besides the green, is so similar to Reese's Pieces xD)

Personality: Adventurous and energetic and can sometimes do risky things, but inside she has a gentle, loving spirit.

Favorite Activities:
-Sandboarding! She can really be a daredevil at times. (yus the board has a winged leopard gecko on it )
-Eating. Fun fact about leopard geckos- their tail is used to store body fat! So Reese doesn't really have to worry about getting a chubby belly, because it goes to the tail. Haha
-Socializing. Another leopard gecko fact- They are unusually gentle creatures, which makes them popular pets. So Reese likes to hang out with other Bagbeans and everyone loves her because she is so gentle and sweet.
-Reading. She has a nice, big, square bag for holding books, as can be seen in the original design.

Favorite Foods:
-Bananas- By the time that they would get dent to her they would be old and have brown spots, but she likes them that way because they look like her own spots
-Reese's Pieces- See explanation of name
-Cactus??-
