An old pic from a gazillion folders I have been looking through.....When I first started stalking these birds they were both sitting on the fence side by side. The one with its back to me the other facing me. Got like two shots off when the one facing me decided "yeah I'm outta here"

It pays to go through those old folders, doesn't it? Gosh, this is beautiful. I love how you caught one on the fence facing the other way, and one in flight, facing you. A truly beautiful scene!

spose they fly every where as perching on those cactus must be pretty painful! great shot

I would think so....but, we do have birds here that live in cacti with no problems...
