That inking is amazing.  I think on your blog or facebook (or maybe both) you had posted some close up detail shots.. WOW.  Just awesome. 

It's just too bad that practical inking is on it's way out in place of digital, sort of like how colors and lettering got phased out and taken over by digital!  I'm not sure you can really replicate the same kind of feel. 

Oddly enough Bret Blevins had just posted something about a week ago, when he posted some old comic art he heavily inked: 

"This is from the mid/late 80's, and looking at these lines I remember how much fun I was having with Gillott 303 pen nibs, Pelikan ink and that marvelous old Strathmore bristol we had in those days. The development of digital tools have eroded the necessity and thus the quality of real-world art supplies...

I love the speed possible with the new art programs and my Cintiq, but in the old days scraping a steel point full of dense black staining carbon ink across a toothy surface had an element of risk that was quietly exciting. Now you can endlessly correct any mark instantly by tapping a key--there's never any reason to get your blood up"
