Actually, I think there are many actors who could give a good interpret for these characters... and many others actors who could surprise us.
these two you mentioned are good examples.
An example of how we can surprise was in TDK,
Heath Ledger as the Joker, that neither the John Deep (which would be my first and perhaps only choice for that role) could have done better.

true. it depends on what version of the character though. you see, this january Fox will be forced to give Marvel the rights back, and Marvel will have both Punisher and Daredevil under it's wings. i think it can be really clever to do something like this:

-First Punisher film (fights Nicky Cavella and the Gnucci family, Castle messes up someone's face at some point, introduces kingpin at the end)
-First Daredevil film (Purple man maybe, Mr. Fear?)
-2nd Punisher film (Kingpin gets an origin, in the third act hires Bullseye to take Castle out, Castle gets arrested in the end of the film)
-2nd Daredevil film (the DD/Kingpin conflict begins, sends Elektra after him, then there's the whole Bullseye vs. DD vs. Elektra thing)
-3rd Punisher film (Castle escapes from prison, is tracked down by Jigsaw and Barracuda, sent by Kingpin)
-3rd Daredevil film (Born Again)
-a Moon Knight film somewhere inbetween

the Punisher parts are based primarily around the MAX run on him (especially the new one), which re-introduced Bullseye and Kingpin. i'd highly recommend it by the way. my full cast would be:

Punisher: Gerard Butler (if they retcon Vietnam to Iraq) or Mickey Rourke (if they stay with the Vietnam origin)
Nicky Cavella: Michael Imperiolli
Ma Gnucci: Kathleen Quinlan
Billy "The Beaut"/Jigsaw: Benicio Del-Toro
Det. Martin Soap: Michael Rappaport
Kingpin: Phillip Seymour Hoffman (MAX), Ray Winstone (616 regular Kingpin)
Bullseye: Ben Foster or Graham McTavish (MAX), Luke Goss or Timothy Olyphant (616)
Vanessa Fisk: Marrisa Tomei
The Mennonite: Josh Brolin (MAX only character)

Daredevil: Ryan Gosling
Purple Man: Mads Mikkelsen
Mr. Fear: Liev Schreiber
Elektra: Rhona Mitra
Typhoid Mary: Katee Sackhoff or Noomi Rapace
Nuke: Kevin Durand
Foggy Nelson: Sean Austin
Karen Page: Ellen Pompeo
Ben Urich: Hugh Laurie
Moon Knight: Thomas Kretschmann

that would be my cast for a Marvel Knights roster.

I didn't know the Daredevil's rights back to Marvel in january...
There's a new movie Daredevil already under development by Fox ?
Marvel wants to invest as much in a movie of a character that I think is not her first class?
as much as I like the character, I have to be realistic ...
because of this I not pick on my posters actors like Leonardo di Caprio, who I think would make a great Matt Murdock.

It would be great to see Marvel Knights in movie theaters ...
and a script/cast like this that you did, would be the height of the characters.
Who knows, after exhausting Avengers, Marvel invest in something like that... (and it would be better to put the Spider Man in the middle of it all)

I will update my Daredevil's poster in a near future, and I will consider your script and maybe even try to make a poster of Marvel knigth.

well, thing is Marvel and Fox made a seven years deal. last film with Daredevil in account was Elektra and that was January 2005 so they'll probably be forced to give Marvel the rights. i mean, the probability of them making a film in 3 months is next to nonexistent.

i dunno, they do have to cover the more mature grounds at least at some point. they'll prefferably pick not just an actor who's good but with a marketable name. Gosling has both and is pretty cheap as well. DiCaprio wouldv'e made a great Daredevil, but true, he isn't cheap these days xD.

thanks a lot man. i mostly just borrowed from the comic-books, it's kind of a straight adaptation of the fantastic new Jason Aaron/Steve Dillon run on PunisherMAX. i would recommend it with all my heart.

that would be awesome! i thought of doing a Marvel knights trailer with Spiderman, DD, Punisher and Moon Knight but the only footage i found for Moon Knight was in the Web of Shadows video-game.

How about Wentworth Miller?

He's fairly muscular and he's got the gruff voice kinda like Batman
