Description It is 1999, and two days of heavy snowfall have left the West Coast Main Line in complete and utter chaos two days before Christmasen. The booked 325s are out of place, so 1M90, the 13:25 Sheildmuir Royal Mail Terminal-London Euston, is being worked by Rail Express Systems 86425 Saint Mungo, with EWS 86401 Hertfordshire Rail Tours in tow for repairs at Crewe, seen here climbing away from Carlisle.

Saint Mungo was withdrawn in February 2002 and cut up at CF Booth three years later. Hertfordshire Rail Tours is still around, under West Coast Railways ownership under the name Mons Meg.
