My two elderly cats, Tessie and Blue, enjoying the fire. They have been together for most of their 15 years. They spend a lot of time dozing and cuddling now. This was actually taken last night on Valentine's Day.This is being submitted to the Image of Love Contest. Check it out [link]

That is so cute! and so they are not siblings? Have they always gotten along or just now that they have been together for so long? I hope one day mine will be like that!

Actually Tessie was very close to another cat I had that had to be put to sleep several years ago. She went into serious mourning. Eventually she settled down and got close to Blue who had been there all along. The three of them would frequently cuddle up together.

aww - that's sad but I am glad it has a happy ending! Since Crown has been sick it sorta seems like Tiger is warming up to her - she laid down next to her the other day which was sweet. But they don't cuddle or anything - then again they have only lived with one another for 2 years now so who knows! Fingers crossed!

It's a good sign that they lay next to each other. As they get older, they may decide cuddling is even better.

What a wonderful way for two furry babies to spend the last years of their lives! They look so peaceful.

They have a relatively quiet life except when the youngest cat decides to pick on them. She is a brat. Blue, the grey cat, has had serious heatlh problems for quite a few years. She is on so much prednisone that she has no immune system but she keeps hanging in there.

They have been together a long time. I got Blue when she was 6 months old and she is now 15 and Tessie when she was a year old and she will be 15 very soon.

They are both Oriental Shorthair cats although they are different colors. One is all grey and the other has more of a pattern to her fur. Thanks for the comment!

I've tried taking photos of them in the past in front of the fireplace and always had trouble getting a decent photo. I was pleased that this one turned out well enough so I could post it.

The flash would reflect on the glass in front of the fire or it would be too dark, too light all of the above or I just didn't like the results. I get real picky sometimes.
