Beautiful hair, pretty face and you fill the dress nicely.  Too dad you aren't looking at the camera.

Thank you very much; the accessories sometimes make all the difference for an image.

Thank you Tommy, this was a fun shoot, and props can be really help convey stories when used properly.

The scene was really set up well. I have done a lot of theater photography, this past year, and I have seen how props can create a story within a photo.

That is right, I almost forgot you have been doing a lot of that this year, so you know this all too well by now.

I would love to get some personal studio lighting, but I guess my next goal might be a new camera, I have almost worn out the D90. I have had a lot of opportunities to shoot portraits outside in natural light this summer, it is a lot easier than trying to adjust for theater lighting. Some Directors, think you can photograph in almost complete darkness, and still produce a quality image, you have to make them understand that the camera is not quiet as accurate as the human eye!

If you are sticking to Nikon, and are willing to upgrade from a D90 here are the cameras to look at. These are the ones I am looking at for when I upgrade, though by the time I do I am sure they will have new ones. Also, make sure you are sitting down, as some of the prices are up there. Unless I get some amazing business, I am looking at the D300s or D700 as realistic upgrades. As for studio lights, when the time comes look at Paul C. Buff [link] he has great lights at a reasonable price. I currently use the B800 for all my studio work, and absolutely love them.

I really appreciate the information. I was looking at the D7000, which is a slight step up, but the body alone is only about $1,100 at Best Buy where we do the interest free deals, I would like to go to an even better model, but I have to wait and see how finances work out. I will have my Mac paid off with them in a few months, and I will check the models you suggested as well. I don't think I would want to invest in anything but a Nikon.
I appreciate the link to the lighting as well, hopefully I can start shopping for that soon as well, it would be nice to shoot in a more controlled eviourment.
