The great thing about this photo is that you don't need to open it to find out that it's Switzerland...very nice work Gerald!

Yes, I have visited Switzerland a couple of times, but only the French side of the country, not the German...I know very well Fribourg, Morat, Payerne, Neuchatel and many other cities.

You live so close to Interlaken, you could just hike over there. (Or take one of those beautiful European trains.) And thanks for taking a look.

Haha, well I'm not too sure if I'd have enough energy for a hike like that But you're sure right about those trains, a train from my hometown goes straight to Switzerland in one day I really want to take that train each time I'm at the railway station

Don't wait. Just do it. It will be worth the time, energy, and money. Let me know if you need help finding a good place to stay.

I'm reminded of "Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring" movie, where the four Hobbits and Strider/Aragorn are making their way up to Weathertop. That's exactly what that looks like! Well done, Gerald!

I didn't see that film, but I saw some ads, and I can see what you mean. And thanks, Cammy!

No problem, Gerald! So tell me, have you read or seen "The Time Traveler's Wife"? I haven't read the book, but have wanted to for forever, and I just saw the movie tonight. It was about the most confusing movie I've EVER seen! That's not even an exaggeration! If you haven't seen it, I'll wait to discuss... but my opinion is, rent it, if you're someone like me, don't waste your money at the theatre.

Thanks for the advice, Cammy. I have not seen the film. I've seen ads for it. Whether rented or not, is it worth the time?

Renthead07 In reply to GeraldWinslow [2009-08-18 13:05:20 +0000 UTC]

I honestly thought it was one of the most confusing movies I've ever seen. I had a hard time telling past and future from the present, even though some people would probably say it was obvious at times. Eric Bana's character was really good, loving, hot, etc. Seeing Rachel McAdam's emaciated ribs, shoulders, back, and neck bones sticking out of her skin in an early scene? Not cool. It was just far too fairy-tale ish for me, even more so than Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter or something. I would personally wait to rent it, if I could go back in time and make the decision, knowing what I know now, but that's probably just me.

You don't need words. You need a ticket to Bern or Geneva, a rental car, and a few days time!
