Description
The unseasonally early and prolonged winter spell continues at Minnowburn in South Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Today, after taking some shots of the stream and bridge, I decided to head up to the rose garden above, but I was sidetracked by a sign leading to a pond.

I had forgotten the pond existed, but it provided some of my favourite shots so far this winter, with the combination of snow and ice on the pond surface, and the tracks left by some beaked visitors.
