Description
LADY OF LIBERTY (Sandra Sincrope)
When Canadian super beings started springing up everywhere, the Americans wanted to create their own hero. Scientists had been studying fragments of the Tunguska meteor that crashed into Siberia in 1908, and rigged a powerful device that would transmute and harness that cosmic energy into a flaming torch, symbolic of the Statue of Liberty. The torch was able to generate incredible power, but only for 60 minutes - where it then turns off and recharges for an hour.
The United States Government did extensive secret testing on thousands of Americans unaware of what they were actually being tested for. Finally, they came across Sandra Sincrope, an older family woman, with strong patriotic values, formidable resolve, and never quit attitude, that they found to be perfect for this role and responsibility. Sandra turned on the torch, as it powered up, her appearance transformed her into a younger version of herself and she was adorned in the colours of the stars and stripes.
It didn't take much time at all for the American people to fall in love and believe in LADY OF LIBERTY, and there are thousands that follow her religious on social media and on the airwaves.
As long as the torch burns, Sandra has incredible powers lasting for an hour, including flight, super strength, mild invulnerability, and advanced speed. Once the hour has depleted she reverts back to her regular form and is powerless for at least an hour before she can power up again.
