She cried because the grief she set out to spread backfired on her, because for once it was accepted rather than denied since she lives her life going around giving people grief. For that, its clear she lives for the infliction of grief, but when it backfires and gives out fortune rather than misfortune. She goes into a state of sadness because her schemes turned out to be helpful than unhelpful.
In short, her weakness is a psychological turn of events set out to work against her rather than for her.
