The comment and the picture are somewhat near a non sequieter at first apprise. I like this piece because it has a classical feel to it in that the pose is one that might be found in an old masters painting and the colors and hues the same.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments, and yes, the title and comment I've posted with the image are beside the point, but I was -- still am, actually -- so disturbed by political developments (exacerbated by the Supreme Court's decision allowing corporations so much more influence in the political process -- one of the worst rulings in our history and possibly even proving fatal to our democracy), that nothing else manages to hold my attention -- very unfortunately and even to the point of my having lost the sense of my own work!
I'd be grateful if you or someone here were to supply the want: suggest an apt title and enhancing remark. But perhaps even this is asking too much . . .

Corporations have been making significant legal gains in the past few years that make them much more powerful and dangerous in the political arenas. I'm sure there is or are some Sci-Fi movies or (and I know there are these) stories that predict what may soon happen, when a corporation enters as a candidate and wins an election.

Yes, it is as you say. But there is a long history of corporate 'possession' of seats in US Congress, for egregious example, Ohio's 4th congressional district (wherein I live) which has, effectively, long belonged to Marathon Oil. It is 'their man' who occupies / has occupied the seat, and whose actual 'mandate' is to vote their interests. And I suppose this is not uncommon in districts traditionally dominated by one company / industry.
Now more generally, with the always stronger 'lobby system' in Washington and election campaigns having becoming television ad / propaganda wars, organized commercial corporate influence has pre-empted our old-style democracy. And it is very hard to see how this might be reversed: those who would have to instigate the reform become increasingly and more nearly exclusively creatures of the system.
But: you have not yet proposed a new title / comment for the image -- at least that we have in our power to improve!
