".....Kenny?"

Kenny was surprised to hear the soft, sighing murmur from Sheera; it was the first noise she had made in quite a while, being that she was deeply hypnotized, so he had assumed she was fast asleep by now.

"Mmh?" he answered gently, his voice deep and soothing against Sheera's ear. "Yes? What is it, Sheera?"

She sighed, her drowsy mind revolving in slow circles around the words she wanted to say. "Thank you," she finally managed, "thank you, Kenny.....for.....everything."

"Oh." Kenny chuckled softly and cuddled her closer to his chest. "Think nothing of it, Sheera. I'm only too happy to help you. In fact..." He leaned in close, his voice a velvety soft whisper. "Think nothing at all. Go to sleep. I'll keep you close to me."

"Yes...." Sheera sighed, and her drooping eyelids finally slipped closed. She snuggled against his neck, listening to his breath, and dropped off to sleep in his arms, in the warm quiet of the afternoon.
