GH-MoNGo — Hulking Ogre

Description Just a big, grubby ogre going for a stroll.

In between classes I had a layover at school, so I hung out with some folks who also happen to have dA accounts and sketched this up in about half an hour. I kinda wish I had my 4H pencil so that I could smooth out some of those areas of shadow tone.

HB Pencil on Bristol board, minimal cleaning in Photoshop 7. 36 minutes total.

Great work, the shading, face and anatomy all look great. Plus that sun really does finish it off nicely.

One thing though - I've been aware off something slightly off about your hands and I think I just figured out what. The proportions within the hands themselves are off a little I think, with the main body (the palm area) being a little small and the fingers segments being a little long. Plus a fleshier thumb might help too, just a thicker base I think.
At least thats what I think it is. I may be wrong.

Myrmidon I'm not so sure about. I can see the two of them engaging in a belching contest but not a fight. Kolgar is another story... he'll attack anything that moves.

The last one was purely comedic. I just thought about Vernon's character (not [link] ), but rather his cartoony version(which results in lots of screaming on his part). I must have gotten your dwarves mixed up. I was thinking of Kolgar.

Nice drawing. I had a magic: the gathering card called 'hulking ogre'. In fact, I built an entire deck around cards that had the word 'hulking' in the title. Called it the incredible hulk deck. I didn't win very often with it, but it was fun to annoy people with it.

That was actually hulking cyclops, which I also used in the deck. Hulking ogre was 3/3, and hulking goblin was 2/2. None of them could block, I guess because they were too 'hulking'. Hulking ogre was drawn by the Hildebrandt brothers, my favorite magic artists besides Brom. I also used the enrage card, which had the flavor text 'you won't like me when I'm angry'.
