I have been working hard lately and been looking into management and leadership positions at my store lately. I've decided that I've been here to long and I want to learn more to improve my store. My boss as gotten me into the training programs first, and we would later talk about making me into a real manager soon. My first days training two new people have been rocky but fun. Its difficult teaching something that comes so natural after working 2 years, much more so when you have to distribute all the information to two people who might not be paying attention at the same time.

So I have been working hard to welcome in two new people, and teach them the ropes of my store and make it easy for them to adjust to it. I've called them my little ducklings, since that's exactly how they follow me around and come to me first when they clock in to start their shifts. I'm so overwhelming happy that I've become the person they go to first, instead of any of the current managers or even my bosses. I was disappointed that I wouldn't the only person training them the whole week, I've grown attached to them since its like I'm raising baby ducks and teaching them on how to swim. But I guess I can't hog the ducklings.
