Description If there's one thing I like just as much as Monster Hunter, it's Godzilla. Watching monsters beating each other sometimes to the brink of death, and destroying everything in sight that stuff is pretty cool. Over the years as I've watched Godzilla movies, I've seen monsters that have always peaked my interest and this is list is about my favorite Godzilla movies. This list will not include monsters from different companies like Kadokawa's Gamera, or Tsuburaya's Ultraman. This list won't have kaiju from other Toho movies either, which means Gezora and Gaira will not be on this list, the only exceptions are monsters like Mothra and Rodan who have had their own movies in the past but they have appeared in at least one or more Godzilla movies. Now that I've adressed this, "Get Ready to Crumble" as we are beginning this list on Number 10.

10. M.O.G.U.E.R.A ("Mobile Operation Godzilla Universal Expert Robot Aero-type.")

Speeding into Number 10 on the list we have the Mobile Operation Godzilla Universal Expert Robot Aero-type or simply just Moguera. Now Moguera first appeared in the movie "The Mysterians" as an alien weapon, but in "Godzilla Vs. SpaceGodzilla" Moguera is a weapon created out of the remains of Mechagodzilla in the last movie "Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla II". Moguera was a handy ally in Godzilla's fight against SpaceGodzilla by destroying not only the Fukuoka Tower, but also the shoulder crystals on SpaceGodzilla's back. What I like about Moguera is his diverse amount of weaponry to his advantage, such as a Plasma cannon he can blast from his chest, a laser cannon that can be shot from his arms in addition to missiles, and a laser cannon. That's all I can say about Moguera, and now on with next monster.

9. Zilla

Stampeding into the Number 9 spot on this list we have Zilla, aka the 1998 Godzilla. Now as a Godzilla movie, the 1998 Tristar movie is not great, but as a kaiju movie in general I don't think it's that bad, it simply doesn't the need the name Godzilla though. As a monster Zilla is a very quick and intelligent kaiju, being able to outsmart Godzilla once in Rulers of Earth and manages to escape from the Trilopods. As for Zilla Jr, I like him as a kaiju, he's what his father should have been really. Another thing Zilla was one of the most difficult kaiju to exterminate in Godzilla Monster Apocalypse as if you left one alive it would reproduce again, and they act in herds, the young act as decoys, while the adults attacked from the rooftops. Zilla is honestly a good kaiju, and deserves a little more respect.

8. Mothra

Flying in at Number 8, is Mothra, Queen of the Monsters. Just like Moguera, Mothra first appeared in her own movie, the Toho Movie called "Mothra" and has appeared in Godzilla movies ever since and her own trilogy "The Rebirth of Mothra Trilogy." Mothra is also one of the few female kaiju in Toho's series. She is a very divine kaiju whom has appeared in more movies than any other Toho monster really, besides Godzilla. She is a very protective kaiju, whom has sacrificed herself many times for her young, humans, The Earth, Godzilla, and even King Ghidorah at least once. She has proven to be a very impressive kaiju in combat having notable victories over Godzilla, Rodan, King Ghidorah, Gigan, and Destoroyah. Everything about Mothra says she is a protector, and is willing to save the planet from any potential, but she can do plenty of damage when enraged, like if someone kidnapped her twin fairies or even destroyed one of her eggs. Mothra is an impressive kaiju and she makes it in the Number 8 spot on this list.

7. Anguirus

Rolling in at Number 7, is Anguirus, the underdog of the kaiju and notorious for being Godzilla's most trusted ally. Anguirus first appeared in the movie "Godzilla Raids Again" as Godzilla's first opponent he would fight, it wouldn't be until "Godzilla Vs. Gigan" where we would be introduced to the one we know as Godzilla's friend and ally. Anguirus is a very impressive kaiju resembling an Ankylosaurus mixed with an armadillo and an alligator. He is a very durable kaiju with many victories against Gigan, King Ghidorah, and even Destoroyah in Godzilla Legends. He can also roll into a ball not only to travel much faster, but also to do some serious damage to an opponent who stands in his way. There is nothing more I can say about Anguirus other than the fact he is very cool and noble kaiju.

6. Megaguirus

Zooming in at Number 6, is another female kaiju just like Mothra but not as friendly. This kaiju is none other than Megaguirus, the Queen of the Meganulon. Megaguirus first appeared in the movie "Godzilla Vs. Megaguirus" where she was the Queen of the Meganulon, a type of arthropod which appeared in the movie "Rodan". Megaguirus is a very quick kaiju just like Zilla and Moguera, and she proved to be a very challenging foe for the King of the Monsters, by sucking out his energy and firing it back at him in the form of fireballs which she could fire from her wings. That is all I can possibly say about Megaguirus, I simply find her to be a pretty formidable kaiju.

5. Orga

Leaping in at Number 5, is Orga, Godzilla's first opponent in the Millennium series. When I first played "Godzilla Save the Earth" I was introduced to the monster Orga, whom when I first saw him he looked huge and intimidating, he was also a hard and fun final battle too on Easy and Medium difficulties as well. Orga first appeared in the movie "Godzilla 2000" and when I first watched that movie I found him to be a pretty formidable foe for Godzilla just like when I played "Godzilla Save the Earth". What I found cool was how Orga was about to consume Godzilla just like a snake, only to be blasted by Godzilla's atomic ray. He has massive claws, he can blast a plasma cannon from his shoulder, and he adapt to his environment pretty quickly. As the first ever final boss I fought, Orga holds a special place in my heart, which leaves him here at Number 5.

4. Gigan

Teleporting into the Number 4 spot on the list is Gigan, one of Godzilla's most brutal opponents. "Godzilla Vs. Megalon" was one of the first Godzilla movies I ever watched, and when I first saw Gigan, I thought he looked pretty cool, with bird like features, hooks for hands and a buzzsaw going down from his chest to his abdomen, I thought that he was pretty interesting kaiju. And then when I watched "Godzilla Vs. Gigan" for the first time, I was introduced to the first time Godzilla ever bled. Gigan was a formidable foe for Godzilla and Anguirus, making both of them bleed a few times. And in "Godzilla Final Wars" Gigan had a pretty solid design, he certainly looked a lot more metallic than his original counterpart. That is all I can say about Gigan.

3. Rodan

Soaring in at Number 3 is Rodan. Before we had Anguirus as Godzilla's ally, there was this guy, Rodan, the pterosaur that first appeared in his own movie "Rodan" just like Moguera and Mothra. Rodan was shown to be a very tough kaiju in "Ghidorah the Three headed Monster" another one of my first Godzilla movies I ever watched, as he could last for a very long time in his fight with Godzilla with no signs of weakness from either monster, until Mothra would stop them to fight a greater threat. In the movie "Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla II" Rodan also had a uranium beam which he could fire from his mouth, and held up quite well in his fight with Mechagodzilla, until Godzilla showed up. When I first watched "Godzilla King of the Monsters" of the monsters in the movie Rodan and King Ghidorah had some of my favorite designs for any kaiju, I just wish that their fight was longer though. As a kaiju I think Rodan is a pretty awesome kaiju and comes in at Number 3.

2. King Ghidorah

Landing in at Number 2 is King Ghidorah, the King of Terror, and Godzilla's most notorious enemy. King Ghidorah first appeared in "Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster" and when I first saw him, I immediately liked his design due to the fact he was a three headed dragon and I liked dragons ever since I watched the movie "The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad" where Taro the dragon fought against and killed the cyclops. King Ghidorah was also a pretty tough kaiju requiring an alliance from Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan to defeat him. He is also another one of Toho's Big 5, and has appeared in plenty of Godzilla movies ever since. One thing i liked about Ghidorah besides his appearance (especially in Legendary's Monsterverse) is his ability to shoot Gravity beams from his mouths, which I used to think was lightning when I was younger, as it really looked like it, and I also liked the fact that Toho also tried to make him a good guy once, they did the same with Gigan in Godzilla Island but I've never watched Godzilla Island before, so "Godzilla Mothra King Ghidorah" was basically my introduction to villain kaiju being portrayed as heroes. So that leaves King Ghidorah here at Number 2.

1. Godzilla

Stomping in at Number 1 is Godzilla, the king of the monsters himself, and the monster who started it all for not only Toho, but also Tsuburaya and Daiei plus many other Godzilla knock offs like Gorgo, Pulgasari, and Yonggary. What is there not to love about Godzilla, he is a large radioactive dinosaur which resembles a cross between a Tyrannosaurus rex, a Stegosaurus, and an Iguanodon, the king of the monsters is easily Toho's most popular monster, outranking Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Mechagodzilla in popularity. Over the years Godzilla has been portrayed as an icon of destruction, a savior of the planet, a protective father, a primitive creature awakened by nuclear testing, and even an entire ecosystem. Godzilla is a very special kaiju among the managerie of creatures Toho has in store, as he is an embodiment of the consequences of nuclear testing, and mother nature's way of telling humanity to stop nuclear testing. Without Godzilla, we wouldn't have not only series like Ultraman and Gamera, but also any of these kaiju on this list, so Godzilla holds his place here at the number 1 spot on my list, and will always be King of the Monsters, King Kong may be a king on his island, but Godzilla is the true King of the Monsters and will continue to wear his crown and sit on his titanic throne.

That ends off my Top Ten Godzilla monsters list and if you like what you see, make sure to add this to your favorites and watch my channel for more posts like this, and have a good day.
