i made a whole family for my main warriors oc/sona dove. why? idk i really didnt need to, but i was in the mood to expand his lore a bit bc there really wasnt much there LOL

Dove, so far, had just been a loner who had escaped a kitten mill as a kit and wanders around with an interest in herbs and medicine just kinda for funsies, and meets clan cats along the way and picks up herbal knowledge here and there and amiably exchanges it w cats he meets. I also had him as stealing kits from kitten mills too and this was gonna be my ~quirky little backstory~ for kitten adoptables haha, but i ended up never really getting that into making kitten adopts (i might someday idk)

anyway i got carried away with looking at cat genetics LOL and ended up thinking up a whole genetically plausible family for dove. his mother is the lynx point on the left, I'd imagine she's a breeder in a backyard kitten mill. Shes a purebred silver lynx point shorthair oriental. the father is the grey tabby mutt on the right, probably a passerby tom who got in basically. I didnt bother to name the parents bc they pretty much arent characters in doves life at all. he and his siblings were either dumped for being mutts or their mother helped them escape somehow, either way the trio are on their own very early on. im still trying to decide if theyre picked up by a passing queen who decides to foster them, or if they just end up lucky enough to be out of the mill after/just before they're weaned and can (more or less, ish) feed themselves.
the kits from left to right are dew/dewdrop, lacewing, and dove.
dew is a grey molly with some white spotting. she ends up dying pretty young. lacewing is a solid black tom with some white spotting, and dove is a lynx point like his mother. both dove and lace inherited their mother's oriental lankiness and roman nose, though lacewing is lankier than dove. dew is fluffier like her dad and her nose is less roman than her brothers'.

Here's dove and his brother lacewing all grown up! lacewing develops vitiligo because of the impact and stress of dew's death
