Remember my work-in-progress? ~> [link]Now he's got a cane.
I love it. <3 I also changed his hat to a darker tone, just like a top hat should be.Personally I'm not too happy with the background. I wanted him to fade away somehow and thought of the swirly things (inspired from other artworks of The Shade), then the dark tones around him... well, it's not too bad either.
I just wish I could remove the "swirlie" to the far right... or maybe it's OK like it is.Anyway, hope you like! ^^

Tools used: Pencil, Indian ink, digital camera, Canson Sketch 1557 paper size A3, 120g/m2
Time taken: ~2 hours + another hour

Ooo, very nice! (: But there's a very simple thing that would make this better! If you'd let his body end where the paper ends, and make more swirls coming from there. Because it looks like now you were either lazy with the body, or you didn't know how to draw it, so then it's better if you try to show that "I CAN DO THIS! D8<" in every pic you make and try to show the things you can make
Then I'm quite sure it'd be more or less perfect

Yeeaahh... that's pretty much the reason why I left it out. xΒ΄D That's something I'm not totally happy with this pic. I was thinking of having darker shadows on the lower picture but it wouldn't keep the balance. Someday I'll try drawing the rest of his body to the end of the paper, or I make another try with same character but with full body.
