Dan Phantom from Danny Phantom
Because Dan is a villain I wanted to make his pose more menacing than the other dragon morphs that I've done, most of which are heroes.
I definitely wanted to keep the DP symbol and the flames because I think those are his most defining features. I also wanted to try and incorporate the cape, which I was able to do. I didn't want the cape down or covering the body because you wouldn't be able to see half of the design. Other than the colour switch in the suits, the cape is another feature that makes Dan different from Danny.
The art style used by Butch Hartman is quite square-ish and simpler than other art styles, hence I drew the feet in a similar style. I also added highlights and shading in a similar way to the show.
I coloured the head in the light green (like the ghost version of Dan) considering that his head would've been white and clashed with the white flames. The spikes under his chin represent the little beard that he has. I kept his pointed ears, fangs, folked tongue and red eyes. I didn't add irises (but he does have them), I thought making the eyes completely red would make him look angrier and cooler (which isn't the best of reasons but I think it makes him look cool). The red smoke was drawn in, to add more colour and represent Dan's version of Danny's ghost breath. I added the shoulder spikes because I thought the shoulder area looked a bit plain, and to add to Dan's awesomeness.
I have already drawn a Danny Phantom dragon (ghostdragoness16.deviantart.co… ) and I wanted to have some similarities such as the ghostly tails on the arms and the horns. (seeing as though Dan is technically an older version of Danny).
