Description
For those of you who follow drag racing, the title says it all.For those of you who don't, a little lesson. The statue behind this unique rod is that of Wally Parks, one of the founders of the NHRA and an advocate for track safety from the 50's all the way to today. As for the car.... come to your own conclusions....
EDIT: Sky Corrected, now it has some tonality and is not so blown out.

Man, i didn't read all of the comments above, so somebody else might have told you, But that's Billy Gibbon's (ZZ top guitarist) ford. It was on the cover of Car Kulture Deluxe August 2006. very sweet ride, and very cool pic.

You ALMOST have a perfect shot here Chris, damn this is close. The one thing that keeps it back from being one though is that blown out sky. Sugesstions for that===get a Grad ND filter which will help you hold back the sky and now blow it out. You could also try running a PS style ND with the help from =lukeroberts which he posted in his journal. Other than that, go B&W, which would obviously work at alleviating the problem. One last thing---Sharpen it. It is a lil soft, especially the background trees. Everything else in here including composition is flawless!

Thanks John, I tried the P.S. ND filter trick, didn't work... There's just no detail at all in the sky. Thats what I get for 1) no ND filter... 2) shooting on a rather overcast day... 3) not bracketing... lol I will have a B/W Ver and the Sharper ver up by the end of the weekend. Thank you very very much John. I'm really digging the critiques. Keep them coming.

nice, youve effictively caputred 2 subjects in the one pic. the lighting really brings out some nice tones and contrast on the car. the tyres really stand out, maybe cuase its one of the few rust-free areas on the car

Wow, you need to consider making a calendar of your best shots or something. I'd buy it.
My dad works for a GMC dealership and brings home the GM "Classic Cars" calendars that they get every year, and your photos blow away anything I've ever seen in them.

Who's car is that? If you don't mind sharring. I think I might know the guy, except he had his shop's logo painted(and distressed) on the side, but maybe this was taken before that.

I really don't know who's car this was... It was taken at the Twilight Cruise at the NHRA Museum in Pamona CA if that helps.
