Both are from the Academy and been researching about Planet X longer just like Sebastian Photon and Angel Perez were they was sent to recover the cyberbrain, and successfully extracted it.
They both remind me of the original space people and I forgot who they were tbh.

Hank witnessed the Mox Civil War. So he was on his pilot and taken down one of the Mox's ships. Meanwhile Hank's ship was shot down by the Ozor Mox. He escaped by ejecting out of his ship
before it crashed into the canyons. On landing, he was knocked out for a few hours then Candi showed up as part of a squadron sent by Earth to calm the situation, she looking for him and telling
him to return to the Academy but Hank wanted to investigate the Civil War and thats what hes was looking for, While on the planet's surface, they contributed greatly to the war effort, repelling
many major attacks and securing an enemy UFO hangar. He then collected the time crystal which they were powering it on the ships and the two escaped. As for the outcome of the war, the
Meezor and Ozor wiped each other out, leaving the Koozer Mox to take over. Incidentally, Hank did not meet a single Koozer Mox while on Planet X. Ever since then Candi was promoted fleet
command. Surely there's no connection? But she will remained to watch over the Koozer Mox and make sure they're not causing any trouble in the planet.

Not much but they're relationship is good so far and there just partners/allies. But in my headcanon Candi haves a crush on Hank somewhat. She be showing her feeling for him.
I think shes a hopeless romantic type of person. So she always wanted to be there for Hank even though hes a real busy man. Both of them train together in the Academy.

Hank Nova is the Leader.
Candi Skyler is the sidekick.
