Starclan had been watching the assembled cats, waiting and knowing what was to come. It was no surprise when the leaders began to fight, soon followed by their warriors. Even still, they gave the clans a chance to stop on their own. As blood was shed, however, it needed to end.
Heat filled the air, raising the temperature higher as-
BOOM.
The ground trembled beneath the cats' paws, flames erupting from the brush around the highrock. They licked at the air, reaching with fiery claws and cast a glowing light over the crouching figures of the clan medicine cats.
The thunderous shaking and crackling fire was more than enough to bring a pause to the warring clans.
Frostleaf launched himself through the flames and smoke to land squarely on the highrock. His stance was powerful, his gaze solid- it was clear that the Caveclan medicine cat had expected this sudden sign. The colorless feline snarled fiercely, putting every bit of power he possessed into his proclamation-
"The clans have broken their promise of peace on the night of the full moon- your petty squabbling has angered Starclan! This is only the beginning of our punishment- the drought- this war- it was merely preparation for something far worse! Starclan has spoken: Red will rule the forest, prey will vanish, and black snow will cover the ground. Only by cooperation, will the clans survive."
The flames lapping greedily at the rock he stood upon burned brightly, ominously illuminating pure white fur. Clearing his throat, he rasped once more.
"If this pointless fighting does not stop, all of the clans will perish."
