Yes, and I did the tentacles too. I did the damned TENTACLES!

And I saw the Amazing Spider-Man. Don't ask where this came from.

Xaxas is the elven name for Deathwing/Neltharion

I prefer to draw Neltharion redeemed.

I intend to flood the Internet with Neltharion de-Old God corruption-ified.

There's lots of other people who will do it.Β  And that is the issue.Β  The internet is filled with those images, just not enough images showing him as a good guy, and uncorrupted.

That is an awesome picture. That is a very awesome picture of Spidey, looks kind of like his costume from the movie.
Nel is very impressive looking here too, very intimidating looking fire breath and flame tentacles.
I don't think Spidey could take him alone at all. Maybe with a full Avengers roster with Thor, Red Hulk, Doctor Strange and Iron Man, they'd be able to really hurt him badly, they have tackled a lot of really big, really mean monsters as a team after all.

I wouldn't say no Marvel hero could solo fight him either. Thor has taken on equally large reptilian monsters solo like Jourmugandr and the Serpent of Fear, though at great cost to himself, he still defeated them soundly.
Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange can take on Lovecraftian-level magical entities and win using the right amount of magic, so a powerful Elder Dragon would not have been beyond his ability to defeat. But that was before he lost his title as Sorcerer Supreme.
Silver-Surfer does have the Power Cosmic at his disposal, so I wonder how that will fare against Nel.
Hulk might get the flesh seared off his bones, but Hulk can heal real fast, and a mad enough Hulk can probably pound the metal right off of Nel.

Sorry about that, but like you said, it was bound to cause Nerdgasms like that.

I can't believe you drew the tentacles ;n;

That's okay though. This is awesome work regardless. Peter would probably have no trouble leaping from limb to limb- unlike everyone who has been there in raid, magically falling into the maelstrom because of the glitch they never fixed. >XD

I've not really been a fan of Spider-Man, (don't kill me), but are his webs flame-resistant? Because that would be amazing, and one hell of a super power for a spider. All the spiders in the world would have him as their role model.

Not a big comic book fan myself and I only know of Spidey from the cartoon. But since I saw the movie, I had to make this image.

And no, Spidey's webs aren't flame retardant.

Triforce-Dragon In reply to Ghostwalker2061 [2012-08-01 21:00:56 +0000 UTC]

To be quite honest, no, I dont think Spiderman could take Xaxas.

Beyond essentially being a beeing made of molten magma and adamantium plates, he wields extreme magic power, magic matching even Krasus, AlextraszaΒ΄s Consort and an Archmage of the Kirin Tor. Both Krasus and Xaxas were rumored to surpass even Kalygos, the aspect of Magic, so great were their potential. On top of that Xaxas controls the earth and stone of the world, lowering and creating mountains almost as he wishes.

No I do not think Spiderman could take that without help. Certianly other heroes in the Marvel universe could (and others could not either) but Spiderman I think is in over his head here.

But great picture

We are talking about a being who could only be defeated by being utterly destroyed by his own weapon. And the only way to destroy him with his own weapon was to impart his own power into it through a cheap plot hole.

World of Wacraft is a maelstrom of plot holes and bad lore when compared to the games that came before. I actually find it amazing how Blizzard can continue to find new ways to buthcher the lroe and piss me off with their choices.

That was beatiful

Quite seriusly that is how they should have done it instead of what we got.

But then again I never really expected much from Blizzards WoW writers, not after what they did to Illidan. My favorite character in the Warcraft lore reduced to litterally a lunatic and KaelΒ΄thas, his right hand, betrays him and sides with those who organized the destruction of his homeland, yay for great continuity. Sigh...

The worst part is almost that there seem to still be some good writers left on the Blizzard team, but they are given small quests and tasks instead of the big stuff.

Like a quest in Wrath of the Lich King where you do everything in your power to save a paladin who has been affected by the plague, calling upon favors from some of mightiest beeings of life and light, but ultimately all you can do for the Paladin is give him a peaceful death. That quest showed much more of the dangers of the Plague and the undead than any number of creatures I had fought my way through before that.

And in Cataclysm in the Badlands there is a chain of quests related to the red and black dragonflights which is probably the best questline they have done. The tale of the red dragon Rheastrasz as she searches for a cure to the black dragons corruption, succeding in curing a single egg and in the end sacrificing her own life and one of her own eggs to draw Deathwing away from said egg, a glimmer of hope for the black dragonflights future. It was just sad, especially as you get RheaΒ΄s last egg as the reward for the quest. Though just a simple item, it represented so much more after the quest line.

Also i have to ask one thing, seeing your sig I can assume you have played ME2, but have you played the Third game?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Ghostwalker2061 In reply to Triforce-Dragon [2012-08-02 22:48:53 +0000 UTC]

Well, when I wrote that story, I knew forth-hand that they were going to kill Deathwing. I didn't know how, but I knew it was going to happen. I wanted to write the story of...what if he didn't die, what if he was given the chance to become Neltharion again and be a good guy? And basically, what if he was playing the role of the player character in the game in one of the very important quests, one of the ones I enjoyed. So, there you go.

I knew it could have been more than what it was when it was in the game. And I had a feeling it was going to end badly, so, I did something else.

No, I haven't played the third game. I hadn't had time to play much games anymore. But I do know about the horrible ending. A friend of mine, BDM, who is now the writer to one of my universes since I've basically allowed him to continue on with the stories of these characters in that universe while I go and handle my WoW story and the Crimson Dragon...he is going to change what Mass Effect 3 did, with some of my help.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Triforce-Dragon In reply to Ghostwalker2061 [2012-08-03 05:44:48 +0000 UTC]

Well I write fan fiction myself so "What if?" is also something i aks myself alot when writing, but my stories are mostly focused on continuing where games left of or filling in blanks between.

And in regards to ME3. The ending when taken face value is horrible, no doubt there, but I am very active on the Bioware forums in a thread discussing something called the Indoctrination Theory. Basicly we think that Shepard might have been undergoing Indoctrination halucinations in the final part of the game and it is more about breaking free than winning the war in that moment and we have more than a few hints supporting us. You might wnat to point your friend towards it, the thread is called "Was the ending a halucination? - Indoctrination theory mark III" (the Mark III is because the last two threads were close due to their length)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Ghostwalker2061 In reply to Triforce-Dragon [2012-08-03 07:35:52 +0000 UTC]

We already know about the indoctrination theory. It something he consulted me about several times.

We've pretty much had the idea for the ending already played out. It ends with the final reveal of the true Creator of the Universe, finally putting an end to the Strange-Matter corruption that happens to be King Ghidorah (aka the Reapers/the Flood).

Most of my game related fanfics were a hodge podge of various other medias, crossovers.

The Warcraft stories are the only ones that have no crossovers in them. Not even an appearance of familiar characters from my other stories or even relating the Eldritch monsters the Old Gods as being just another incarnation of King Ghidorah.

However, if it was, then a lot of what Neltharion and the other Aspects are...they're another type of Technomancer, their bodies basically a type of cybernetic life similar to Malcho or Manda. And the Titans are in fact my Precursor race that I created. But I wanted a stand alone story apart from everything else I created, so, the Old Gods and King Ghidorah have no relation. The Aspects are not Technomancers and the Titans are not my Precursors. Too bad though, would have been interesting to draw Neltharion with three stripes on his face, his eyes blue, and a techno-blade in his claws.

Telling you this now because something tells me you won't be reading the 15 stories that I wrote over the course of 10 years that explains everything that I just stated. Just smile and nod.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Triforce-Dragon In reply to Ghostwalker2061 [2012-08-03 09:52:58 +0000 UTC]

*Smiles and nods*

Well, to be honest I might check it out in time, but currently preparing to move out and start on university so my mind is kinda occupied at the moment. What little free time I have is mostly spent writing or gaming which helps me relax among all the chaos.

I have done some crossovers myself, mostly a Legend of Spyro / Legend of Zelda one which was my very first larger story ever and I also did a Legend of Zelda / Halo one, though that was only a short one and not really a seriuous story at all.

Still though in my later stories I have largely moved away from crossovers as I realized I dont like changing the source material for what I write. Idd rather add to it and shape something new for the universe I base it upon rather than change the existing stuff.

Good Lord
Let me just say, I think this deserves a DD. Without a doubt. This is so stunning.

The shading is FANTASTIC and the detail put into the dragon is so amazing. The rough texture used on the fire/lava type stuff really makes the dragon itself pop out.

The anatomy of the Spidey Man is amazing as well, and all the intricate details put into the spider web really paid off!

This is so just amazing!

Well, you may suggest it to the person who does DDs if you like. I cannot suggest my own artwork to be made into DDs, people have to do it for me. Kinda a rule on DA.
