During season one, I was indifferent about Moon. I thought she was the stereotypical strick mom that is the opposite of Star. However, I could understand it since she had responsiblities as queen to deal with. During the last parts of season 2, I started to think Moon was pretty cool and could tell that she was awsome in her own right, especially in her fight against Toffee-Ludo. In season 3, I liked her backstory with who she was and how she started to become who she is in the present. I did like how she ploted with Star and Eclipsa to expose the MHC but I did think she went overboard with trying to kill Meteora when Eclipsa was trying to talk her down and she had to get in the way of Moon. I think season four would have been able to give Moon the freedom to be something else other than the queen after Eclipsa became queen because of Star; especially with River saying that she shouldn't have to worry about taking care of everyone. I would go in depth about how stupid (most) Mewmans are for preventing that but that's a different conversation.

Now it's time for the elephant in the room: Moon's betryal. Like everyone, I was pissed off with what she did despite saying that she was trying to stop Mina from doing something worse. I even commented that she didn't deserve a mother's day at all where I could. Plus, blaming Eclipsa for her going to the realm of magic is stupid since all Eclipsa did was defend her daughter. If I could, I would have asked Moon if Star was in Meteora's position would she have allowed someone else to kill Star like that. When Star told her to not exist anymore I was right there with her on telling Moon to not exist too. That being said, I do see the MHC(except Hekapoo), Mina, and lazy Mewmans being the core cause of pushing Moon to make such a stupid choice.
However, I do think Moon is salvagable-redeemable in any expansive material we (hopefully) get in the future or any other fanfic that deals with the season 4 finale aftermath. I'm even doing a redemption arc for her in my fanfic, The Hidden Joker.
